Why you need to let the truth be told.

Let the truth be told they say. But what does this mean exactly? My interpretation of this saying is that once you let things play out, the true colors always emerge. How often have you been faced with a difficult situation where you don’t know what to do, or to think? How often have you tried to analyze a situation only to find out you were wrong? Well, these sort of things happen to everyone. What you need to do is “flow” more with the nature of things.

How you should let the truth be told.

Don’t always assume you know what is going on before you have enough information. A perfect example is if you are driving down the road and you see a big guy beating up a little guy. Would you stop and try to intervene thinking you were going to be a hero? Well, what if it turned out that the little guy just tried to assault the guy’s sister? See, you never know what is happening until you let the truth be told and gather the necessary information.

Let the truth be told even when you don’t want it.

There are many situations you hear about where a girl wants to marry a guy, but the guy is not ready to commit yet. The girl keeps pressuring the guy into marriage, hoping to “persuade” him to change his mind. The guy never changes his mind, and it turns out he had been dating another girl behind the other girl’s back. Now, do you think if the first girl rushed to judgement and tried to “coerce” the guy into marriage that it would have been a good idea? Of course not. Sometimes you just need to roll with the punches and let what is going to happen take its course.

Let the truth be told not for the results, but for the power the truth brings.

I would like to end this article with a discussion about why you need to let the truth be told, and what you should get out of it. Say after being friends with someone for a long period of time they end of lying to you, trying to use you, and outright disrespecting you. The power in this information is not the result (maybe cutting off this friend), but in the knowledge that you now know who this person really is. Don’t ever underestimate the power of have a reality check and knowing what is really going on, rather than anticipating the truth. This way, when you let the truth be told, you can really make an accurate judgement, rather than a naive judgement about the state of things.
