Every story has a beginning, a middle and an end much like our “garden” of life.  Our garden begins at birth, passes through time and ultimately ends with our death.  It is this passage of time that is the most complex part of the story because it offers many twists, turns and detours.   It is also the most interesting part of the story because it has shaped who we are and who we have yet to become.

We choose the paths we travel on, some are easy to navigate and some are filled with rough patches.

Each and every path is filled with an important personal development lesson whether we are conscience of it or not.

I often wonder about time travel and how it would effect the paths that I have chosen.  Would I have done anything differently?  What if anything would I change and would I want?  There is no scientific proof that time travel can, does or ever will exist.  It is theorized that if time travel were possible it could have a damaging effect. It is assumed that if you change the past you could in fact alter the future thus creating a different reality in the present; a kind of paradox.

To better understand, try to imagine what would happen if you went back in time and somehow stopped your parents from meeting.  If they never met or “bonded”, would you have been born?

Quantum physics deals with this issue on a sub-atomic particle level but the social, spiritual and moral implications of this can never truly be known.  In many ways the moral implications of altering my past and somehow changing my future frightens me.  I truly believe that I am who I am because I was meant to be this very person.  I surmise this is true otherwise I would have made different lifestyle choices.

I chose this path based on my thoughts, feelings and personal development at the moment the choice was made and therefore my path was somewhat predetermined.  I do believe that there are factors in life that you do have control over such as what career choice you make, who you will marry and whether or not your will choose to be healthy or not.

Buddhists believe that the path to enlightenment will ultimately end in clarity of the spirit and a profound feeling of joy and happiness.  To loosely define this concept; enlightenment can be reached by ridding oneself of the negative aspects in one’s life.  This is achieved via meditation and self-help solutions.

I am on my very own path to enlightenment of sorts. What began as a simple story has now become a collection of my thoughts, feelings and memories. I began to look back at my own garden path and I came to a disappointing realization.  I had allowed negative thoughts and negative people to burdened and consume my life. thoughts and feelings.

I found myself making excuses for behaviors I should never have.  I seem to have little tolerance for things that I used to and I often find myself saying things I did not really mean.  I looked into the proverbial mirror and I did not like what was looking back at me.  I literally began to ask myself where had I gone?  Where was the innocent carefree  girl from high school that everyone once knew and loved?

She had grown up and forgot the things that Peter Pan had told her; she became bitter and had grown up miserably.  It was high time that she went back to never never land where life was positive, fun and anxiety did not exist.  I had to get off this negative ride because  it was filling my garden with weeds.  It was time to reassess my personal development.  It is not always an easy thing to admit that you need help but it is necessary in order to move on and start fresh.  The first step towards positive growth is to admit that you have negativity in your life, the rest is easy.

Positive energy motivates you and helps move you forward while negative energy exhausts and hinders you from doing so.  It is almost as if the forces of energy are within you and you are given the choice over which one will be the driving force behind what you do.  Luckily you do not have to travel back in time to change it.

The choice you make right here and right now will only alter the future enough for you to notice, but it will not create some huge devastating ripple in time.

Thankfully, I have made some huge changes in my own personal development.

I sought my own self help solutions and began to take a different path in the garden.  I have recently taught myself how to create and design web pages and I started my own business as a free lance writer and social media consultant.

I wanted a fulfilling career that was challenging and yet would mean something.  I feel proud that I am able to provide a voice for many generations to come and that I am creating a legacy for my family.   I used to settle for the first job opportunity that arose in fear that I may not find one.  I was never prepared for the job interview and I often was unhappy at the salary arrangements because I seemed to always settle for the first offer. I have often felt that my supervisors were less skilled than I was and this lead to job dissatisfaction.

I will not follow this path in the garden ever again because I now know that I am worth so much more, I am experienced, highly skilled and I refuse to settle.   I sought my own self help solutions from seek success to help me along this journey such as job-interview-questions, the linden method and the 11 laws of attraction.  I am forever grateful that I did because it has greatly improved my life’s journey.

It has amazed me how far I have come along this new path, in so little time.  With just a few minor changes in my life and my attitude, I now feel like a vivacious flower that plants its’ roots so deep into the garden, it becomes strong and can grow to an incredible size.   My inner flower blossoms more and more each day and needs less and less maintenance.  If I can or have accomplished anything in my life, I would certainly hope that it would be to help motivate you to take a positive path in your garden.  Perhaps you can one day tell others the story of how you became a vivacious flower in your own garden of life; one solution at a time!
